Aquavit | Exquisite Nordic Cuisine

Aquavit is a solid New York institution. Three decades after opening, it holds two Michelin stars. The honor is held by one of only two female chefs in the US with as many stars. Chef Emma Bengtsson joined as pastry chef in 2010 and has since become the Executive Chef, bringing Aquavit its second star. We all know Aquavit for famous chef Marcus Samuelsson, who brought much attention and acclaim to the restaurant. He has … Continue reading

Strip House Downtown

Strip House

We have not been to Strip House in what we think is 13 years?  Our first visit was well before blogging and even Smartphones.  Wow.  One thing remained the same; we left as stuffed as we did the first time.  The first occasion was our Wedding Anniversary and this time we tried Thanksgiving Dinner at Strip House.  The Thanksgiving Menu was their standard steak-centric offering with a Turkey special for $42.  Absurdity, but this is … Continue reading

North End Grill – Battery Park City – CLOSING 2018

North End Grill

Prezza – Boston

prezza boston

Prezza Boston was the first stop on a four day food tour.  Our journey began in the North End of Boston where we found ourselves a couple of times, the next to visit Neptune Oyster.  We took the train to Boston from NYC midday on a Friday and had early reservations Friday evening to kick off the trip.  We learned quickly we could walk everywhere we needed to go, which was awesome. The North End … Continue reading

ABC Kitchen

For our fourth visit to ABC Kitchen, we decided to have Christmas Dinner. Suckling Pig, Grilled Maine Lobster, Peekytoe Crab Toast and Red Wine Poached Pears were some of the highlights. ABC stands as our favorite restaurant for the second year running. It deserves all of the accolades it gets. Book it for your next special evening!
